Summary of EMDI deliveries during June -July 2011:

During the month of June, at least seven new units were reported shipped from London.

All were in order 20106395 for Ferromex SD70ACes. FXE 4044-4050, were delivered to CN London East for furtherance to UP’s Proviso Yard

The CEO of Overland Models Brian Marsh, provided us with terrific photos of these brand new EMD locomotives in London, Ontario.  On July 28th, Brian snapped factory fresh QNS&L SD70Ace 509 and 512 soon to be shipped to Sept Iles, Quebec.

Brian also visited EMD’s competitor General Electric in July were he shot UP 7502-7503-7504, a sequential trio of the latest C45ACTE units  at the GE plant in Erie, Pennsylvania.  We included his great GE photo in EMD news, for model comparison between the two major builders.

On July 28th, Brian photographed brand new UP SD70Ace 8671 and siblings in shining Armor yellow and Harbor Mist grey at the EMD plant in London, soon to be delivered to UP.

On July 16th, Walter Pfefferle caught one of the brand new SD70Ace locomotives ordered by Union Pacific

Walter also spotted this unit on July 30th sitting behind EMD in London Ont.

 On July 15th Geoff Williams clicked QNS&L 508 and 511 on test track at EMDI in London, Ontario.
