LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Letters

Hi William,

Thanks for the update and another stellar edition of the CRO.  You might want to add the link for the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel situated here in Cranbrook in the Museum section of the next CRO.  Garry Anderson has worked tirelessly for the museum  and has earned the Order of Canada for his excellent accomplishments. http://www.trainsdeluxe.com/

Again, keep up the great work.

Kevin Dunk

Cranbrook, BC

Added Kevin and Thanks - William

Will,

I really enjoyed the SOUTH OF THE BORDER and CANADIAN RAILWAY HISTORY sections in your March 2012 CRO.

Great work Will!

Cheers Wayne!  I also enjoy reading your emails and those classic NYC, NH, and PC images. -William

Hi William,

A couple of typo’s in the CRO MARCH issue in CP NEWS:

The photograph of CP GP38-2 3018 at Bangor, Wisconsin is on the Tomah turn assignment “G68”, not Q68.  The photograph of the CP 8823 at Tunnel City, Wisconsin isactually on train “199”, not 119.

Great website, I post CRO on the bulletin board here in the depot at Portage for the CP employees.

Keep up the great work!

Trainmaster - Portage, WI.

CLUB CRO Launches May 2012:

As you are now all aware, our CLUB CRO officially launches May 1st, 2012.  I battled with the decision to implement a subscription fee for many years, but as donations had dried up, we really had no choice.  The good news is, the price is less than $2 an issue, and the previous issue will always be free!  As one can imagine, paying for server storage, bandwidth, email server costs, and paying internet provider fees has always come out of  pocket.  When you factor in the hours per day that Mike Robin and I put into creating your monthly CRO issues, you can understand and appreciate why we had no choice. “CLUB CRO” has many benefits for  you the reader, which will become apparent to you.  One perk is: emailed updates with your new issue on the first of the month, and every month.  Your “user name” will always be your email address and our “password” will open it.   Please take the time to sign up today, and take advantage of our Limited Time $9.99 introductory special price until April 23rd.

Only CLUB CRO members will have access and will receive the new CRO issues. Everyone must sign up, and CRO will immediately refund all photo contributors, if their photos are usedin May.
