LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: We invite you to send your questions and comments: Email us at: editor@canadianrailwayobservations.com Dear CRO,
Sure is nice to see all the old girls in the CRO issues - Some of which I “Hogged” myself, others have new dresses, and some have been scrapped. Brings Back Many Pleasant Memories Of Forgone Years. Congrats To William Baird My ONR Friend Mike Robin, Nathan Brown and the CRO team for A their great dedication to Railroading. Great Photos, Info and outspoken talent survive here. Keep Up The Great Work! I Could Tell You A Story or Two about Hoggin’ Trains in the Great White North Which Would Be Fish Tales For Sure.
That Is my View From Over The Hill!

Hi All, NOW THAT IS MORE LIKE IT!! Check out Francisco Andre Diaz Macuzi's photo shopped "AMT" logo on the from panel of the F59PHI. It sure looks good! Are you listening AMT? Gracias my friend! I am standing next to an Agence Metropolitaine de Transport (AMT) Montreal Commuter train near Sortin Yard in Montreal on November 14th. The locomotive is a General Motors Diesel Division Canada-built F59PH (Ex-GO Transit), and the cars are the newest Bombardier-built multi-level cars.
You will noticed on the index page, we have added two new departments to CRO. Specifically Tourist Railway’s, and our CRO Legal page. We have also decided to close down and retool our CRO PHOTO CONTEST Page. Over the next months we will be redesigning it, and implementing better ways of accepting photo entries, follow-up and offering new and better prizes. For the moment, the PHOTO CONTEST page is Under Construction, We are seeing suggestions and ideas however, and would like to hear from you. Simply send along an email to me. I wish to thank Webmaster Nathan Brown for Co-Editing and taking over CRO for much of this month while I was unavailable with computer issues, and outside work. Nathan did a superb job! The ONR Northlander Report was great as well Nathan! Thanks!
As well a tip of my had and bow to CRO Production Manager Michael Berry for his great work administrating CRO Facebook while I was off, Thanks Guys! In 2017, Canada will celebrate its 150th anniversary as a Nation, and VIA Rail Canada will mark its 40th year! I wonder what events VIA will have planed? Be you Christian, Jewish or of Muslim faith, I wish you a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas to the CRO Staff and all my friends. Peace on earth. Will CRO MODELER’S CORNER: CRO has a new Modeler’s Corner Editor, Barry Oldham from The Train Cellar. Barry has many years experience detailing and painting accurate Canadian railroad locomotive and car models. We invite you all to submit your railroad model photos to me for consideration and posting on Modeler’s Corner.
Dear Mr. Oldham,
CRO makes every attempt to quality check our issues before we post, however this error got through and we do apologize to you, and the Train Cellar for this mistake on our part.
It was brought to our attention that Barry was connected to PMI. This was not the case. This was a mistake at our end, which we are truly sorry for, and hope that any issues that this has caused will be mended quickly.
The mistake online is corrected and an apology will be noted in our next issue in February 2013. I hope this will be to your satisfaction as you are a valued member of our news magazine.
