Prairie Dog Central Railway's 130 year old beauty, Dübs built 4-4-0 #3, awakes from her winter slumber and offers quite a display during her annual boiler inspection -which she passed with flying colours, or should we say steam?!..

2nd Place: Wayne Shaw

CN shot: Zebra-striped GMD1u 1437 leads www.cn.ca-schemed GP38-2 4700 back into Oakville Yard from the Ford Assembly Plant autorack loading facility.

3rd Place: Ed Creechan

Here's a couple of Canadian Pacific GP38-2's taken at Kinnear Yard in Hamilton in Feb. 2012.  #3111 has recently been through a rebuild while her sister #3057 retains an earlier paint scheme.

JULY 2012 Photo Contest Subject:

In honour of the longest day of the year June 20th,   send your June photo submissions be they fancy, artsy, rain or shine, night or day to: photo_contest@canrailvideo.ca

The photo must be taken in June and Deadline for entries: June 29th, 2012

 

Rules:

Photo submissions must have been taken by the contestant and taken no earlier that January 1st, 2012. Include full caption information including the railway, subject, location, date, and pertinent details of interest, like your camera model and setting.  A Maximum of 3 entries per contestant. 

 

Deadline for Entries:

June 29th, 2012 (or you can set the date to suit next publishing date.)

Rob McCormack of Canrail Video will judge our contest entries and announce his choice for winner of the June photo contest by email and in the July 1st Issue of CRO.  The winner and runners up will also be posted.
