Hello Will,

I don't know if many individuals have thanked you over the years, but I want to thank you for CRO and having kept it free for so long. Yes I was a free-loader! However I greatly appreciate the financial burden you cast upon yourself for all those years and I'd rather thank you by now subscribing, rather then just saying ``thank you`` by email, and  reading stuff one month later!

I believe we almost met once in the summer of 2009 at the AMFM. Someone had said Will Baird was here and they went to get the others. I do not recall having presented myself to you though. Another coincidence is I was assigned during my probation your old portion of the layout where the transfer facility with the grain silo is just to the south east of the central passenger station. A bloody shame the layout had to be dismantled.

I don't know many connected rail folks in our great city, more due to the fact i'm a modeling hermit. I'd love to pick up lunch or coffee or a few drinks, whatever is your pleasure to thank you for all that you've done for Canadian railfans.

Thanks again,

Mark Charlebois

Montreal, QC

Thanks so much Mark.  We will meet up when we can.  -WB

Hello Will,

How are you?  I have done a great railfaning trip since the last time we talk. Many former US and Canada SD´s arrived in Brazil since then. Most of then are running as BB40-3 now, plus some former SD40T-2 now rebuilt to BB40T-3. I enclose some photos to you. I was in US last July, visiting Florida and Georgia. I took some photos of CSX and  two shortlines there. It was a great trip. I would like to visit Canada also, but the visa to Canada is a  bit more complicated to get than the US one. In the past we could visit Canada if we had the US visa, but now we need a visa to Canada even if we just want to visit the border. I was in Montana in 2011 but I could not enter Canada to see some trains. I could spend some money there, but I was forced to spend then in US. But one day I can be there visiting your great country.

Keep in touch!
