Dear Will,

Thanks to Andre St. Amant for his photos of the Strathcona Park.  To Celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Pine Valley Model Railway Club, we leased her from VIA for a week-end trip from Montreal to Jonquiere, QC, with 22 people; members, family and friends. She is nice car, and a great time for all aboard.  Thanks again for the photos.

Likely blew your yearly budget Claude, but yes that would be a trip~

Hello Bill,

My name is David Bloyed, I'm in Texas USA, I am hoping you can help me with something.

I read your Canadian Railway Observations on the net, and I thought that if anyone can help me find this stuff, you can.

I am assembling information to build a miniature (ride in size)  MLW DL535E #114 White Pass &Yukon, (1982 MLW/BDD 3' gauge) and need as much accurate info as possible on the cab of that locomotive, which is the std BDD "Canadian cab" as on the Bombardier HR412 and HR616 models of the same time frame.  THis cab is slightly different (shorter in height, narrower and shorter in length and also has squared edges,) than the GMDD version that London Electromotive used.

Do you happen to know of any Canadian that might have accurate (probably original MLW/BDD) detailed drawings of that  original "Canadian Safety cab" as used on the Bombardiers then?

Best Regards, and thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Hi Will,

Thanks for another excellent issue. The Turbo wreck (Photos in the August 2012 CRO) occurred on July 20 1973, and the car numbers were:   54-76-77-55 ex-CN 128-258-253-153

Power Car 55 at the rear was salvaged, and returned to service as CN 153 on April 22 1976. It replaced 150 which burned at Coteau Quebec 9/23/75    153 was itself retired due to fire damage at Morrisburg ON May 29 1979.
