My good friend Maxime Boule was running his trio of Bowser CP Rail Big M's pulling a newsprint train at the HO model railway Club in Trois Rivieres QC on February, 13th 2016.
Here his CP RAIL HO Scale C630M's are Crossing famous Stoney Creek Bridge.
MODEL WORK of ROB ARSENAULT
CP RAIL SD40-2 and C6330M done by Rob in February.
A trio of tired old CN Geeps (yes...owner is aware they would NEVER look like this at this stage of life...he just doesn't seem to care!)
Red white and blue BCOL SD40-2 763 was a fun project for me! Just subtle weathering needed here.
I did the weathering on this CN GMD1 done for a friend.
Check out these "patched" ES44AC's I just completed where I covered the Olympic logo but lest only the bilingual railroad name (as per the Ross Harrison)! Rob Arsenault has commissioned a custom run of patched out ES44ACs. They did a nice job on the graphics!

I always thought making a fire damaged GE unit would be fun; here's my attempt at a CP Rail System AC4400CW 9567 as a Roasted Toaster.
A fun little fade job on a new Bowser CP Rail System painted SD40-2. Surprisingly enough the CPRS Dual Flag lettering was pretty much pristine in the photos I received to follow!
Cadrail CP painted SD60 6240 with light weathering.
MODEL WORK of JEREMY MCPHERSON
Two few projects he has been working on lately. CN C44-9WL 2515 is a modified Athearn model with a Kaslo cab and other Canadian details added.
WC SD45 7501 is a Kato model, with custom paint and a few mods.

MODEL WORK of TIM HAYMAN
Our CRO VIA RAIL Editor this month submitted his Canadian "Casco" tanks!
I recently finished painting a pair of Atlas corn syrup tanks as Casco cars, one Procor, and one CCLX, using Highball graphics decals. I also acquired a pair of factory painted Atlas cars, both GATX reporting marks, from Sean Steele. Here are the four cars together. All of them are waiting on Kadee 119 shelf couplers, and the GATX cars need weathering on the trucks and wheels. The cars I painted don't have the correct top hatches, so I'll have to see if I can get those from Atlas.
Now they're just waiting on the rebuilt RS3m (Casco NJ1548), the Cardinal plant switcher through the early 2000's, that I'm currently in the process of building. (Photos by Tim Hayman).
NEW PRODUCTS
New from Athearn: Elgin Joliet and Eastern RR SD38-2 in the J-Ball logo scheme.
First video of the new HO scale highly detailed Budd Car from Rapido Trains, shown testing on Bob Followfield's great CP Rail layout. This video also contains footage shot at IRSI in Moncton, NB and updates on the move of VIA RDC 6102. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4UgNaVij98
MODELLING FROM THE PROTOTYPE
Modeling today's CP and CN freight trains:
In February 2016, this (CP) DME Gondola was shot by Dennis Weber in the CP Yard LaCrosse, WI. Feb 2016.
On February 21st, 2016 Dennis Weber clicked this CP Gondola in the CP Yard at LaCrosse, WI.
With a lot more weathering on it and removing the panel, this car could still pass for today. Dennis shot Milwaukee Road Covered Hopper at St. Paul, MN with the AMERICA'S RESOURCEFUL RAILROAD panel, in the 1990's.

Some former B&M sand PS hopper cars from the 1980's are still rolling now under AEQX reporting marks in February 2016. (Photo by Peter Huffman). |

These bright example of graffiti passed through Woodstock Ontario March 6 2016.
